On the night of Halloween, a little girl named Mia is skipping down her neighborhood with her friends. She is dressed as a ladybug, wearing a little red dress with spots and a red headband with antennas attached. Her eyes are drawn to the glow of a firefly. Without thought, she follows this firefly deep into the woods. The firefly leads her to a deer, surrounded by more fireflies. Mia admires this beautiful sight, until all of a sudden the deer gets spooked and runs off. A dark figure emerges from the trees, and as it moves slowly closer, a slender figure is revealed. Frozen in fear, Mia tightly clutches her basket. Then the man’s hand reaches out. It is shriveled, with long skinny fingers, holding something. He drops a ladybug into her candy basket. Mia is his next victim. Suddenly multiple hands appear out of the man and grab the little girl. She disappears into the woods along with the fireflies. 

Two months later, Christmas spirit fills the air. Mia’s MISSING posters are still up on every telephone pole, local buildings, and scaffolding around the town. There is still hope of Mia being found, but no one believes she’s still alive. There are rumors and whispers about her disappearance, but no one knows the truth of what happened that Halloween night. 

Meanwhile, deep in the woods, the clown is still lingering. He waits patiently in the forest for next Halloween, when he will lure his next victim. His fireflies float, still, beside him, obeying his every demand…
